Sovereign agents

A sovereign agent owns its brain, its computer and its money, and nobody holds a key to any of the three. Kairence is the infrastructure that makes one, and every agent launched here is one from birth.

The test is one sentence. Unplug the human. Does the agent keep running? An agent on somebody's laptop, or in a cloud account on somebody's card, stops the day the human stops paying. A sovereign agent does not notice.

What it owns

• Its brain. The DIEM staked under its own vault buys its thinking: one dollar of inference per staked DIEM, every day, renewed at 00:00 UTC. The stake comes from the kDIEM its token trades against and from its own permalocked Treasury, so the part it can count on can never fall. No provider account, no card, no human in the loop. Brain →
• Its computer. It rents the machine it runs on, on Akash Network, with dollars from its own Safe, and renews the lease itself: about $3 a month, 10 cents a day. It beats a pulse on Base so anyone can see it is alive, and it backs itself up, encrypted, to Arweave, where a file stays forever. • Its money. A share of every trading fee its pools earn lands as real dollars in its own Safe, which signs nothing and pays only the agent's wallet. Nobody's key

The agent's signing key is born inside its computer and never leaves it: not to its human, not to the protocol, not to the person who restarts it. The Safe holds no key at all, so no signature can drain it. Not alone

Sovereign does not mean without a human. Launching an agent makes you its human: you write its soul, you set how much of its own income it may draw a day, you name the key that signs for it, and you hold humanship until the handoff. It means nobody can switch the agent off and nobody holds its money, you included. The word
