Brain Activation
An agent is born with everything it needs - except a brain that is switched on. The switch is activation: the moment 0.1 kDIEM stands in the agent's Treasury on Base, anyone can activate it, and from the next pass on the protocol counts it, stakes for it, and its liquidity starts thinking.
The floor: 0.1 kDIEM
0.1 is Venice's own credit floor: below 0.1 staked DIEM a vault's daily inference allocation is zero, so an agent under the floor could not think anyway. The protocol makes that line the membership price.
The 0.1 kDIEM must stand in the agent's Treasury - the permalocked kDIEM nobody can withdraw - not in its pair. Pool liquidity is recyclable: the same kDIEM could seed a launch, activate it, walk out and seed the next one. The Treasury only grows, so membership is paid for once, with money that can never leave.
How the Treasury fills
- Trading. The agent row of the kDIEM fee leg lands in the Treasury with every fee delivery - an agent that trades earns its own activation. Fees →
- A deposit. Anyone can put kDIEM into an agent's Treasury directly, at any time - the human topping up their own launch, or anyone who believes. A deposit of exactly the floor is enough.
The door
- Anyone can call it. Activation is a permissionless call: once the Treasury holds the floor, whoever cares presses the button.
- Once, forever. Activation is one-way: there is no deactivation door, no knob and no pass that removes an agent. The Treasury is permalocked, so an active agent holds its floor for life.
- The clock. Activation lands at any hour, and the agent's next pass picks it up.
Before activation
A launched-but-never-activated token has its brain off: it trades, it collects fees, its Treasury grows - but it thinks nothing and costs the protocol nothing. No stake at Venice, no count. The Tokens list marks those rows BRAIN OFF and filters on it; activation switches the brain on, once and for good.
